Analysis :

I believe that if is wasn't Emmett Till it would have been someone else. Its sad to know that it happened to an innocent soul , but I believe that it had to happen. It helped push for the civil rights movement which helped more people than not and helped changed the justice system to be more fair. I compare how his mother used the media to her advantaged to the same way Treyvon Martin's family used in the Zimmerman case to gain national eyes on the court decision. Its amazing to think that still in today's society things like this still happen .

  1. I agree with you that if it wasn't Emmett Till it would have been someone else. The change was inevitable when such injustice is constantly happening. This holds true today with the Eric Garner and Michael Brown cases. Many people complain about the media coverage on these two particular cases or say that they are isolated incidents and have nothing to do with the entire system. However, the media coverage for these cases are to shed light on the injustice present within America as a whole. If not Garner or Brown, it could have been one of the many recent cases of unarmed killing of black men in the last few months.
